DesignCraft is AIGA Houston's 8th annual outdoor fair featuring the work of local artists, artisans, crafters and creatives. This one-day event allows Houstonians to discover local, well-designed and crafted goods and gives vendors an opportunity to sell their work.
Located in Market Square Park, DesignCraft is the place to discover new artisans, bring the family (pups welcome), and grab a bite from Niko Niko's,
all in the heart of downtown.

- What is DesignCraft?
DesignCraft is AIGA Houston’s 8th annual art, design, and craft market. DesignCraft is a chance for local artists, crafters, and creatives to feature their work.
- When and where will DesignCraft be held?
DesignCraft will take place Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10am to 5pm at Market Square Park, located in historic downtown Houston at Market Square Park.
- How many booths will there be?
We have room for 30 booths this year.
- How much is admission?
Admission is free to the public.
- Where can I park?
A parking garage is available nearby at the old Chronicle Parking Garage (712 Prairie), with entrances on Prairie and Preston, or you may park on surrounding streets.
- How much to set up a booth, and what comes with it?
The booth fee is just $200. AIGA members pay $160.
All vendors receive:
10 x 10 foot space
2 folding chairs
Parking validation for the day
- How can I be a vendor?
This is a curated event with importance on quality. While many vendors will be invited directly, you may also apply to participate. Fill out the form on the site. We will be accepting applications until 6 pm on Friday, November 10, 2017, or as long as space is available. However, the earlier you apply, the better your chances are of being featured in any local promotions for the event. If your application has been accepted, we’ll send you an email notification no later than Saturday, November 18, 2017. Payments will only be accepted online.
To apply, we’ll need your full name, business name, e-mail address, contact phone number, and a link to your online store, personal web site, or online photo gallery featuring your products.
- Why do you require a web site, online store, or photo gallery of products?
DesignCraft is a curated event. We want to ensure a high standard of quality and a balanced variety in the vendors who participate.
- DesignCraft is curated? What is your criteria?
AIGA is the professional association for design, and as such DesignCraft is geared toward that kind of audience. While traditionally a graphic design-based organization, AIGA’s membership has diversified in recent years to include illustrators, screen printers, letterpress shops, interior designers, fashion designers, fine artists, and more.
The vendors for DesignCraft will reflect the diversity of AIGA’s members and audience. Our review process will consider not only our audience and design standards, but also the quality of goods, novelty of style, and price point.

- Is AIGA Membership required to be a vendor?
No, but members receive a $40 discount per booth. If you are interested in membership, please visit www.aiga.org/join.
- How will DesignCraft be promoted?
In addition to AIGA Houston’s promotional channels—houston.aiga.org, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, e-mail alerts, postcards and posters–DesignCraft will be promoted by Market Square Park’s promotional team, Downtown Magazine, and more.
- When and how will I know if I’m accepted?
You’ll be notified by email no later than Saturday, November 18 if you’ve secured a booth for DesignCraft. The sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll secure your spot and be featured in ongoing promotions.
- What is your cancellation policy for vendors?
DesignCraft is rain or shine. Monday, November 27th is the last day to cancel and receive a full refund. Any cancellations after this date are non-refundable.
- Will there be a waiting list for vendors if all spots are filled?
Yes. Vendors on the waiting list will fill vacated spots in the order they are received, up until Wednesday, November 29th.
- What else will be featured at DesignCraft?
